Pick up from Dimapur Airport and transfer to Kohima. On arrival, check-in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.
Post breakfast, drive to Kisema Village, where the Hornbill Festival is celebrated. Enjoy a full day of exploration while enjoying the great festival. You can enjoy the songs, dances and lots of performances by the local tribal people. For lunch, enjoy the delicious local cuisine made by the local Naga tribes. Evening, return back to Kohima.
Overnight stay at the hotel.After breakfast, drive to Khonoma. The place is known for its past heritage of fighting and warfare. Nestled among green hills, the village is famous for its conversational ventures and was awarded the title of the first green village in the country. The village also boasts of a pool of master craftsmen who are proficient in the art of weaving with bamboo and cane. Equilibrium and discipline are apparent in the placement of a village gate and the accurate manner in which the terrace cultivation is done. Afternoon drive to enjoy Hornbill Festival. Evening return back to Kohima.
Overnight stay at the hotel.After breakfast, visit Kohima War Centenary (Closed on Sundays), which has been constructed in memory of soldiers who were killed during the Second World War. It was built by the Japanese force which had invaded the place. After that, enjoy the Hornbill Festival.
Evening free for shopping in the local market. The main products to be bought in Kohima are woven bamboo, tribal shawls, jewelry, beadwork, and also fashionable clothes. Handloom items are also an attraction of Kohima markets. Kohima markets also display modern-styled shirts, shawls, hats, leather jackets, and different styles of hats for sale.
